Hello there. How are you today? That’s good. My name is Victoria Stibrik. I am currently a student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University and I’m studying sports journalism. I realize I could’ve shortened all that up a bit with a few acronyms, but then it wouldn’t have sounded quite as professional, which is kind of what I’m going for here. So I suppose I should add that I’m also in Barrett, the honors college here at ASU because that sounds professional too. I’m pursuing a career as a sports writer and hope to one day make it as a writer for the esteemed sports magazine Sports Illustrated. I’m passionate about baseball. Just baseball. I don’t care about the business transactions and the statistics that mean nothing to us common folk. I only like baseball, plain and simple, as it was meant to be. I believe that sports are much more than numbers and figures and statistics and dollar signs, and my intention is to help every sports fan to see that. So go ahead, read some of my articles, some of them aren’t half bad.
